FOLLOWING Jeremy Smith’s recent request for a song for Oxford (Man about Town) all I can say is great minds think alike!
The 13th Theatre Co is currently developing a musical about Oxford which we aim to produce in 2010.
The songs have been written by Trix Forbes and the story by Sheila Costello. Both are highly talented individuals who together make a great creative team.
The songs that Trix has written are based on the sights and sounds of Oxford. There is a song about the pink almond tree on the High Street, also songs about Port Meadow and the gargoyles.
We really feel it is about time there was a musical about Oxford. We also feel that it would be a good tourist attraction during the summer of 2010 and would help keep Oxford on the map.
