I am somewhat fed up with the daily revelations about MPs’ expenses. Every day it infuriates me more.

It is no surprise that the country is in the state it is in, when you look at MPs in general, and listen to the pathetic excuses that they come up with for so-called mistakes in their claims.

I thought most MPs were educated people. Yet some say they did not understand what they can, or cannot claim for. If these MPs cannot understand something as basic as that, what hope have we got?

Some months ago Gordon Brown was swanning around Africa, and condemning President Mugabe for the way he was treating his people. But there are remarkable similarities between the two men.

This expenses charade is no better than what is happening in parts of Africa, and Gordon Brown is in a job he should not be, as he was not elected for it.

While on the subject of the public being ripped off, don’t forget the MPs’ pension fund. Look at what Mr Brown did to pensions when he was Chancellor. Yet now, with many people losing out big time, the MPs’ pension fund is untouchable.

Let’s hope that the cream these fat cats are getting goes sour.

The actions of a handful of MP’s borders on fraud or theft – so why are none of them in court?
