HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a day out on the farm as Abingdon and Witney College staged its countryside careers open day.

A large number of courses were demonstrated on Saturday at Common Leys Farm in Hailey, near Witney.

Students taking part set up floristry workshops and gave dog grooming and dog agility demonstrations.

Claire Lee was one of the students giving a floristry demonstration, while Lindsey Crouch was at the fair to show off skills she picked up while studying for her first diploma in animal care.

There was also a horse show, dressage and show-jumping competition and gun-dog training demonstrations.

Staff from the college were on hand to give advice about courses including those involving animal care, countryside and conservation, equine studies, and horticulture.
