Police are appealing for witnesses after three apartments were burgled in Linacre Court, Spring Lane, Headington Quarry, Oxford.

It is believed that burglars entered the apartment block between 11.30am and 4.30pm yesterday by forcing open the communal door. They then broke down the doors of three neighbouring apartments and burgled them.

They stole a number of laptops, mobile phones, TVs, DVD players, jewellery, cameras, cash and perfumes from the properties.

Police believe that these burglaries are linked.

Det Sgt Louise Tompkins, of the Oxford Burglary team, said: “It is worth thinking about what sort of impression an opportunist burglar will have of your home. Take some simple and inexpensive steps to make your home look occupied – it will dramatically reduce your chances of becoming a victim of burglary.”
