A PRIMARY school was filled with the noise of a steel band at its annual fair.
Pupils at Grove Primary School in North Drive, near Wantage, made the best of the wet weather to enjoy traditional Maypole and country dancing on Saturday.
Wantage Silver Band performed at the fair and information stands were provided by police and firefighters.
The fair started with the school’s May Queen, Kayleigh Hannington, six, being crowned.
A miniature steam train ride, a barbecue, raffle, football competition and an inflatable obstacle course were among the attractions at the event.
Organiser Sue Wells said: “It was a bit blustery but everyone enjoyed it. The children get very excited about the event.”
Proceeds will go towards school funds.
