ABOUT 150 people were left in the dark for three days following a power cut at their mobile home park.
People living in Cavendish Park at Hagbourne Road, Didcot, had no electricity from Saturday morning until a generator arrived today.
Angela Cantwell, 67, said her husband David, 71, had to go to hospital on Sunday after he was unable to use his oxygen ventilator.
Site manager Michael Pearson has apologised for the problems and said he had electricians working to fix it.
Mrs Cantwell, pictured left with fellow resident Edward Edmonds, said: “My husband couldn’t breathe so the paramedics sent him to hospital. They got his oxygen levels back to normal and they said he can be discharged, but because we have got no proper electricity yet, he can’t come back.”
About 150 residents live in the site’s 96 mobile homes, most of them pensioners.
Mr Pearson, who rents the site from South Oxfordshire District Council, said: “We’ve had many sleepless nights trying to sort this out. We are extremely sorry.”
He said the road in the park would have to be dug up to replace underground cables, which he hoped would be completed within a week. A Southern Electric spokesman said it was a private site so the company was not responsible for repairs.
