THE lease of a 17th century National Trust home is set to be sold. The trust is looking to sell the remaining 41 years of a 99-year lease on stately home Ashdown House, near Ashbury.
Any new tenant would need to raise in the region of £4.5m for the lease.
They would also have to be prepared to let the public into their home at specified times, but would have the run of six bedroom suites, plus a two bedrooms and bathrooms and the freehold on a separate orangery at the mid-17th century home.
