More than 30 detectives are continuing to hunt the killer of a man in East Oxford.
The victim, who was black and wearing a purple hooded top, staggered into The Regal venue in Cowley Road with stab wounds to his neck at 11.50am yesterday. Earlier he had been seen arguing with another man in Ridgefield Road.
He was pronounced dead at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
Det Chief Insp Mick Saunders said: “Police visited four addresses last night - three in Ridgefield Road and one in Drove Acre Road - but no arrests were made.
“We are continuing with our inquires today with more than 30 detectives working on the investigation.
“I would like to reassure the community this appears to be a targeted attack.
“I appeal to anyone who has information that could help us with our inquiries to please contact police immediately.”
The victim has not yet been formally identified. A post mortem is expected to take place later today.
