Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked with a baseball bat in Banbury.
At about 12.15am on Saturday, a 28-year-old man was walking home from a night out along Easington Road, when he was approached by four men aged in their late teens. One of them assaulted him with a baseball bat.
He was taken to the Horton General Hospital where he was later discharged.
Det Con Rebecca McCamley said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a man walking home from an evening out with friends.
“I appeal to anyone who was in this area of Banbury late on Friday night, or in the early hours of Saturday, and saw a group of four people acting suspiciously to contact police immediately.”
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Det Con McCamely via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
