Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched in The Wheatsheaf pub in Wantage Road, Didcot, on Sunday evening.
At 9.52pm, a man walked into the pub and punched another man, aged 53, in the face.
The victim sustained a broken jaw and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.
Det Insp Kev Elkins said: “This was a seemingly unprovoked assault and I am keen for anyone with any information to come forward.”
