A run out off the final ball of the match earned Oxford 2nd a tie in a dramatic finish to their game at Bletchley Town in Division 1.
Put in to bat, the visitors had struggled to 133 all out in the face of some fine bowling by off spinner Graham Simpson (5-40) and left arm seamer Ghufran Mohammed (3-27), as only Wasim Mehmood (33) got going.
Oxford looked sure to win when Philip Evans took 4-39 to reduce Town to 99-7, and then 112-8 with two overs remaining.
But 14 runs were scored from the penultimate over, a wicket fell off the first ball of the last and three runs were needed off the final delivery – which proved one too many.
Oxford were deducted two points for failing to pay the umpire before the match.
