POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed on a road near Witney.
At about 10.10am on Saturday, a red Suzuki SJ was involved in a collision with a black Honda CB600 motorcycle on the Crawley Road.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 38-year-old man, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, but was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Suzuki, a 62-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been released on bail until Saturday, June 20.
Pc James Holstead, of Thames Valley Police, who is investigating the incident, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the two vehicles prior to the collision or who witnessed the collision itself.”
