Women played hockey too at Morris Motors
IT WASN’T only the men who played hockey at Morris Motors.
We published a photograph of the club’s men’s team heading for the Guernsey Easter Hockey Festival in 1949 (Memory Lane, April 13).
This picture, again from the archives of George Springall, shows the club’s mixed team, in the same year.
Mr Springall, of Staunton Road, Headington, Oxford, and his late wife Barbara, whose maiden name was Day, are both in the photograph.
