Twenty-seven motorists were stopped for speeding during a speed enforcement operation today in Bledlow Ridge.
The event, organised by roads policing officers, the Thames Valley Safer Roads Partnership and road safety officers from Bucks County Council, was staged in response to local residents identifying speeding as one of their top policing priorities.
Motorists exceeding the area’s 30mph speed limit were targeted during the event, which was held to coincide with the time children travel to the local school.
Twenty-seven motorists were dealt with for speeding, including cautions and Fixed Penalty Notices, with the highest speed recorded being 46mph.
PC Andy Ralph, Neighbourhood Officer for Risborough rural, said: “Residents have decided on speeding as their main priority, so motorists can expect more of these operations in the future. Anyone caught exceeding the speed limit will be dealt with.”
