Drivers across Oxfordshire faced surface water on some roads this morning following heavy rainfall during the night.
According to the Met Office weather station at RAF Benson, one-and-a-half inches of rain fell during a 90-minute spell last night leaving the county drenched.
Despite the surface water, the vast majority of roads remained open, with only the A329 Reading Road closed by flooding in Streatley, across the river from Goring.
There is still flooding on the road through the village but the route is now passable.
The Met Office said heavy rain in Oxfordshire this morning would be followed this afternoon by some sunshine and scattered showers.
Light rain is forecast for tomorrow, and heavy rain for Sunday.
Today there will be a maximum temperature of 16C, dropping to 7C tonight.
According to the Environment Agency, there are 10 Flood Watches on the River Thames, which means low-lying land and roads could be flooded, but none of the warnings apply to stretches of the river in Oxfordshire.
