Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in a wheelchair had his wallet stolen outside the Abbey National bank in London Road, Headington.
The 52-year-old disabled man was approached by a man on a bicycle who tried to start a conversation with him, at about 3pm yesterday.
Worried that the cyclist was too close, he told him to go away.
The thief then began to fiddle with the man’s wallet, which was attached to his wheelchair with a lanyard.
The thief cycled off with the man’s wallet, which contained £40 in cash, all his bank cards and his bus pass.
