Oxford University has been named top in the Guardian’s university league tables for the fifth year running.
Each UK institution was rated in terms of teaching quality, student satisfaction, career prospects, student to staff ratio and job prospects.
The university was also rated top in a number of different subject areas, including business and management studies, economics, English, maths and medicine.
Oxford Brookes University came 56th and was ranked in the top 20 for architecture, religious studies and theology, social work and tourism, transport and travel.
