People are being invited to meet the local neighbourhood police team in Wheatley.
The event is being held at Wheatley Primary School in Littleworth Road, Wheatley, on May 19 between 2pm and 4pm.
Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Ken Cooney said: “I encourage residents to come and meet us. We will be security marking items like mobile phones, iPods and satellite navigations systems. You can also bring your bicycle along to be marked.
“PC Abi Derbyshire and the team will also be giving the pupils a talk and showing a DVD regarding criminal damage and our number one priority of speeding and the associated consequences.
“We will be showing the children the Speed Indication Device and a speed detector gun and we will be organising a poster competition for the pupils and the best poster will reproduced and enlarged for display around the community.
“This is a good chance to come along and meet us and to speak to us about any issues of concern that you might have. We will also be available to give crime reduction advice.”
This service is free and no appointment is necessary.
