Police today appealed for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in East Oxford.
The 19-year-old was walking along East Avenue, between 2am and 3am last Thursday, when she was approached by two Asian men, who sexually assaulted her.
One of the men was in his late twenties, more than 6ft tall, with a ‘sharp’, skinny face and short, black spiky hair. He has acne scars and crooked teeth. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with yellow writing on and blue jeans.
The other man had a round face, was chubby and was wearing a green T-shirt.
Det Con Nick Hills said: “During the assault a man ran up to the offenders and chased them down the street. Unfortunately he did not make himself known, so I appeal for him to contact police immediately as he could be crucial to our enquiries.
“I also appeal to anyone who was in the area in the early hours of Thursday and saw two men matching the offenders’ descriptions to get in touch.”
Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact Det Con Hill via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
