WHEN Catherine Masters speaks, others take note.
Earlier this year the sprightly 109-year-old complained the Queen always wears the same dress on official birthday cards.
Last week, she got the surprise of her life when Prince William turned up at the Grange Carer Centre in Stanford in the Vale to have a cuppa.
He paid a special visit to see Mrs Masters, giving her and staff at the home barely five minute’s notice — and then vowed to personally bring up the subject of his grandmother’s dress when he next saw her.
The pair chatted for the best part of an hour on subjects as diverse as Shepherd’s Pie and Mrs Masters’ remarkable past.
What a lovely gesture and what a true gentleman.
In fact, we say he is fit for a King.
