HUNDREDS of runners pounded through the University Parks in a fundraising fun run.
The ninth annual Oxford Rotary Club fun run on Saturday has already raised more than £6,000 for Oxford-based charities, and organisers hope to double the figure when sponsorship money has been collected.
Graham Simpson, who helped organise the five km run, said: “It was wonderful, we were once again blessed with great weather and about 400 runners took part.
“The money will go to charities selected by the club, including the Pathway Workshop in Blackbird Leys, which employs people with disabilities to make and sell wooden garden furniture, and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.”
