Police today issued an appeal for information on a crash in south Oxfordshire in which a motorcyclist died.
At about 1pm yesterday, two Suzuki motorcycles were being ridden along the A4130 from Benson towards Henley.
Police said as they left the village of Bix, one of the motorcycles left the road on the dual carriageway section and collided with a tree.
The rider, a 36-year-old woman, was declared dead at the scene.
PC Ed Crofts said: “We are still trying to establish the cause of this collision. We would like to hear from anyone that saw the motorbikes travelling from Benson to Bix prior to the collision, or who witnessed the collision itself.
"We are particularly keen to speak with a motorcyclist and pedal cyclist who stopped to help at the scene.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Ed Crofts at Abingdon Roads Policing base via 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to talk to police or leave or name, please contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
