Fitness fans danced, jumped and kickboxed their way to raising nearly £3,000 in a marathon aerobics session in Oxford.
More than 100 people joined in a five-hour aerobathon at the John Radcliffe Hospital’s Tingewick Hall on Saturday.
The fundraising event was organised by Didcot mother-of-three Louise Oliver to raise money for the Oxford charity Support for the Sick New Born and their Parents.
Mrs Oliver’s twins Harry and Jamie spent three months in the Headington hospital’s special care baby unit when they born prematurely nearly 16 years ago.
Mrs Oliver, of Norreys Road, Didcot, said: “I felt like I needed to pay the hospital back, even though it was 16 years ago.
“We did straight aerobics, dance aerobics, salsa, kickboxing and cheerleading.
“Everyone was absolutely shattered but they were still on their feet at the end.”
She added that the group, who were mostly members of the diet and fitness classes she runs, had raised pledges worth £2,900.
