Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old boy was assaulted outside Berinsfield Library, Green Furlong, in Berinsfield, at 6.15am yesterday.
A man grabbed him by the shoulder but he managed to run away and as he did so the man shouted at him.
The man was white, in his 20s, 5ft 2ins tall and very slim with short black hair.
He was wearing a dark hooded top, white trainers and blue jeans and driving a small silver four-door car which had a distinctive two silver front wheels and two black rear wheels.
Det Sgt Darren Cartwright said: “The boy was unharmed, however, this is an alarming incident and I am keen to catch whoever is responsible.
“I urge anyone who might have seen this man in the area, or knows who he is, to get in touch.”
Detectives are treating the incident as an assault and not an attempted abduction.
