Police today renewed an their appeal for information after a shooting in Barton two weeks ago.
The neighbourhood policing team will be distributing posters to shops and residents today, containing an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the shooting in Brampton Road on Tuesday, April 21, at 10.40pm.
The man in the E-fit is Asian or mixed race, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 9ins, aged between 20 and 25 and medium build. He was wearing smart clothing, including black trousers a grey or blue V-neck jumper with a black T-shirt underneath and a black or grey blazer.
Det Ch Insp Colin Paine said: “Previous media appeals have been made however we are still asking the community of Barton to come forward with more information about this incident, we have yet to receive significant information about the people responsible for the shooting.
“We need help from the public and I urge anyone, who recognises this man or has any information, to contact us immediately.”
“After the shot was fired, the men made off in a dark coloured car, although the victim did not manage to get a second description of the man with the gun.”
