Sixty motorists were stopped by police in Abingdon town centre today for not wearing seatbelts.
Police carried out the stop checks in Ock Street between 8am and 10.30am.
They spotted 60 people failing to wear seatbelts, who then all received a roadside safety lecture from Oxfordshire County Council specialists.
Officers also caught 15 drivers using their mobiles at the wheel.
They all now face a mobile phone road safety awareness course.
Ten vehicles were taken off the road because they were not roadworthy.
