DANNY Cox, BBC Radio Oxford’s daytime presenter, is leaving the station at the end of the month, it was reported tonight.
Helen Deller, a spokesman for the station, in Banbury Road, Summertown, said that Mr Cox’s current co-presenter Louisa Hannan would in future present the mid-morning show, from 10am to 1pm, on her own, following Mr Cox’s departure.
Ms Deller said: “Danny is leaving BBC Oxford at the end of May to pursue other projects.
“He has been with the station for five years and we know he will be missed by the team and our listeners.
“We wish him the best of luck for the future.”
She added that Mr Cox would remain on air until the end of the month, and said: “Danny does some voiceover work for various projects.
“I don’t know what he’s going to be doing next.”
On his presenter profile on BBC Radio Oxford’s website, the former Fox FM presenter reveals that his favourite place in Oxfordshire is Ducklington, near Witney, and his worst habit is eating kebabs.
