Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed of her handbag in Didcot.
Between 3.50pm and 4.05pm yesterday, a 36-year-old woman was walking in an alleyway in Cronshaw Close, leading to Great Western Drive, when she was grabbed from behind and forced to the floor.
The youth ripped her handbag from her shoulder and cycled off on a silver-coloured bicycle towards Station Road, with the bag wrapped round the handlebars.
The offender was white, tall, and of average build. He is aged between 16 and 17, with dark hair.
Det Con Stephen Knight said: “I appeal to anyone who saw a teenager of this description cycling towards Cronshaw Close and on to Station Road yesterday afternoon, to contact police immediately.”
Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact Det Con Knight via Thames Valley Police Enquiry centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
