THE selection of a May Queen was a long tradition at East Oxford School.
The first girl to receive the honour, as we recalled last week, was Vera Bourne in 1920, and May Queens were appointed almost every year until the school closed in 1973.
These two pictures were sent in David Martin, son of Bill Martin, who was headmaster from 1948 to 1971.
But we don’t know the names of any of the girls. Can anyone help?
