FABIA Cerra’s now infamous striptease on Britain’s Got Talent has been viewed more than one million times on video website YouTube.
The burlesque dancer, from Greater Leys, leapt to fame after wowing judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan on the hit Saturday night show last month.
Now, the 35-year-old, from Centuary Place, has become an Internet sensation as well with more than a million people viewing the video.
Miss Cerra said: “It’s good – but not as good as Susan Boyle. She’s got at least 10 million.
“It can only be a good thing. If people didn’t like me they wouldn’t want to watch me. I am over the moon.”
More than 1,100,000 have logged on to see the video, with 2,100 people leaving a comment. So far, 40 complaints have been lodged with media watchdog Ofcom.
Last night, the mother-of-one admitted she was still waiting for a call from the show’s producers to find out when she next needs to appear, after being given three ‘yes’ votes by the panel.
Meanwhile, she has been keeping busy by helping long-running cheerleading squad Strawberry Fayre Majorettes ahead of a charity performance this evening.
The squad, made up of 22 girls aged seven to 16, will perform at the Amey Theatre, in Abingdon, as part of the Dance For Life competition, which is held in aid of the British Red Cross.
Miss Cerra has been helping the girls with their make up and passing on tips from her own childhood disco dancing career to give them a boost.
She said: “I am looking forward to going to the competition because I will be reminiscing big time. They are wonderful little movers.
“They are very interested in what they do, and you can see how hard they have trained.”
Miss Cerra was persuaded to help the girls by childhood friend Sonia Denmark, who runs the group with choreographer Eileen Filer.
Miss Denmark, 38, said: “The girls are nervous and excited. I think I get more nervous than them – I cried when they came off the stage last year because I was so proud of them.
Ms Filer said: “I am really proud of them. They have got a lot of potential, and I am just hoping that this is the beginning of many competitions to come.”
