A motorcyclist has been injured following a smash between a motorcycle and a car on the A40 west of Oxford.
The incident happened at about 6.20pm, about half a mile west of the Wolvercote roundabout.
The driver of a black Audi car was also involved in the crash.
An ambulance was called to the scene, but the extent of the motorcyclist's injuries is not yet known.
The crash has closed the road both ways between the B4449 at Eynsham and the Wolvercote Roundabout.
Callers report tailbacks on both sides of the closure and long delays for traffic trying to divert on to alternative routes.
