A couple are in hospital after a stabbing attack in East Oxford.
Police were called to a house in Hurst Street at about 1.20pm today after reports of a stabbing.
A 21-year-old woman is currently in a critical but stable at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
It is believed she suffered knife wounds to her chest.
A 25-year-old man also suffered stab wounds and is in a stable condition at hospital receiving treatment.
Det Insp Simon Morton, of Oxford CID, said: “This is an isolated incident and I believe that no one else is involved.
“The man and woman were the only two people at the address at the time and I would like to reassure the community that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with our inquiries.”
A cordon is currently in place at the property while the police examine the scene.
