Police this afternoon renwed an appeal for witnesses to a fatal collision near Witney.
At about 2pm on Monday, April 20, there was a collision between an Audi A4 and a motorcycle, on the B4022, near to the Crawley junction.
The air ambulance attended the scene and took the rider, 46-year-old Bob Smith, of Hailey, to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, where he died from his injuries.
The driver of the Audi, a 58-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail.
PC Charlotte Smith said: “I would like to hear from anyone that may have witnessed this collision.
"I would especially like to hear from the driver of a light coloured Vauxhall, possibly an Astra or a Vectra, which was travelling along the B4022 from Finstock direction and turned right into the Crawley junction.
"It is believed they may have seen the collision or events leading up to it but did not remain at the scene as they were the vehicle in front of the car involved. They were not involved in the collision in any way.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Smith at the Bicester Roads Policing base via 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police or leave your name, please call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
