Two men arrested in connection with a hammer attack at a Kidlington pub have been bailed to return to a police station today.

The two men, aged 28 and 34, were questioned yesterday after being arrested in connection with the attack at the Red Lion pub, in Banbury Road, at 5.30pm on Monday.

The victim, who is in his 60s, is recovering from a serious head injury.

Danny Donovan, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police, said the 34-year-old had been bailed until May 27 and the 28-year-old man had been bailed until May 30.
