MEMBERS of an Oxford dance group presented a showcase of their talents as part of a fundraising event.
About 20 members of Bust A Move, aged six to 19, showed off their dance skills at the Crown and Thistle pub in Wood Farm on Saturday.
Parents set up stalls and held a raffle, tombola and table top sale to raise funds for costumes, props and accessories.
Organiser Hayley Nash, 27, of Sermon Close, Risinghurst, said: “We were happy with how it all went and raised about £150.”
The street dance group was set up by Ms Nash and friend Katie Measey, 28, of Wood Farm, in January. They approached professional dance instructor Sabine Matzen for help. Ms Matzen, 21, of Baker Close, Risinghurst, said: “It’s great for getting the children off of the streets.”
About 30 dancers meet at Wood Farm Youth Centre on Saturdays from 10am until noon. For details, call Ms Matzen on 07545 842943.
