THE 35th annual Levellers Day will take place between 10.30am and 6pm on Saturday, May 16.
Most of the attractions on the day will be held in and around Warwick Hall Garden and Church Green.
Former Labour MP Tony Benn will speak at the event, to mark the anniversary of the execution of three Leveller soldiers shot in Burford churchyard on Oliver Cromwell’s orders on May 17, 1649.
The Levellers were a group of soldiers that rebelled against Oliver Cromwell when he failed to introduce democracy.
