Police are appealing for witnesses after a girl was attacked and robbed of her bicycle in Wootton, near Abingdon.
Two girls were near the community centre in Besselsleigh Road, when they were approached by a boy who told one of the girls to get off her cycle.
He repeated his demand and when she said no he used both hands to push her off the bicycle, causing her to fall to the floor and graze her arm.
Her friend stepped in to help and challenged the teenager, and he kicked her.
The offender then got on the cycle and rode off past the Co-operative store and along the path which runs past the Community Hall down the side of the playing field.
He then looked around, dropped the cycle and ran away.
The robbery happened at about 4pm on Sunday, April 19, but details were only released today.
The boy is mixed race, about 5ft 4in tall, in his early teens and was wearing a black hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms.
PC Chris Allen said: “This happened at a time of day when there were plenty of people around. I ask anyone who might have any information to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information about the incident to contact PC Allen at Abingdon police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
