AN ELDERLY female relative’s logic surpasses lateral thinking and defies logic itself.

We were trying to convince her that it was okay to watch the TV without the living room lights on because that is what we effectively do when watching films in a cinema.

The relative replied that she was quite happy to do this, and stated: “I already do this during the day”!

After this, and with us already willing to admit defeat, the relative asked us when the clocks were changing to ‘British Summertime’.

Unsure whether it was one hour forward or rearward, she asked: “Do the clocks go on or off?”
