Jarno Trulli will start from pole position in tomorrow's Bahrain Grand Prix leading an all-Toyota front row.
His team-mate Timo Glock qualified second ahead of Chinese GP winner Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull.
Jenson Button was the fastest for Brackley's Brawn GP team in fourth, just ahead of Lewis Hamilton's McLaren.
The other Brawn GP runner, Rubens Barrichello, starts sixth.
Fernando Alonso was seventh in the Enstone-built Renault. His team-mate Nelson Piquet qualified 15th.
The rest of the top ten was made up of Felipe Massa's Ferrari, the Williams-Toyota of Nico Rosberg and Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari.
The second Williams of Kazuki Nakajima starts 12th.
