WHEN I read about the arrest of Robin Demczak (Oxford Mail, April 15) for having an ornamental pig, I checked the date in case it was April 1.
This is another example of Thames Valley Police making a pig’s ear of a case.
I am totally disgusted at Pc John Ablett and the officers who arrested Mr Demczak.
The only winner in boundary disputes with neighbours are the lawyers – any police officer should know that.
The police also have a duty of care to Mr Demczak’s 86 year-old diabetic mother, who was left alone in the house after his arrest.
The word ‘pig’ was first used in the 60s as an insult to the police in the USA – but it was later turned around to stand for: Politeness, Integrity, Guts, Service.
