l CLEARLY W Taylor (Oxford Mail, letters) hasn’t read any of our anti-incinerator letters.
Far from being concerned about our house prices we are concerned about the health of residents, which he would fall into as he lives only a few miles away in Oxford.
If he had actually read our letters he would have known that we are not objecting to a waste disposal system on this site, simply incineration.
He asks “if we are not to burn it, which is clean, safe and efficient, then what do they propose we do with it?”.
If he had read our letters or researched the subject he would know that incineration is not clean, safe or efficient, rather it is dangerous, expensive and out-dated technology.
By contrast we are proposing much safer, environmentally-friendly and cost-effective methods.
We are not asking for it to be burnt, buried or sunk where someone else lives, we are just asking for a better method.
