More than 20 Oxfordshire families hit by the 2007 floods are still waiting to move back into their homes.
Nine homes in the city and 14 homes in west Oxfordshire are among 350 households across the country which are still classed as ‘displaced’ by the floods, according to local authority figures.
Families are either living in temporary accommodation or in the top floor of their houses while they wait for them to dry out properly, or for insurance money to come through.
Nationally, 98 per cent of the 17,000 households affected by the 2007 flooding have returned to their properties.
