Sir – Has rubbish collection in Thame ever been looked into carefully?

For instance, at the beginning of Southern Road, there are townhouses without front gardens and very narrow pavements as well as precious little back ones.

The narrow pavements, even now, make it difficult for mothers with pushchairs to manoeuvre, not forgetting high-speed cars racing around the corner of the Rising Sun public house. Should they decide to take their pushchairs into the road, with the blocking of the pavement of those large containers, it would be catastrophic.

If this hazard had been looked carefully into it, surely it would have been obviously impossible to have this new idea!

Mrs J. Elliott, Thame
