A man was attacked with a baseball bat during a violent attack in Didcot.
Police are appealing for witnesses after two men and three women forced their way past a communal entrance door at Darenth Court, in Hamble Drive, at 10.30am on Sunday, then barged into a ground-floor flat.
The two men inside fled through a window into a car park.
One of them, a 58-year-old man, was confronted and assaulted by a man carrying what police believe was a baseball bat.
The gang did not steal anything and left in gold coloured Citroen Saxo, which was being driven by a white woman.
The attacker was described as black, about 6ft, of stocky build and in his mid to late 20s. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, dark sunglasses and a dark jacket.
The other man is of mixed race, aged about 18, and skinny. He was about 5ft 9in and wore a beige baseball cap and a beige jacket.
The three women are all white and thought to be in their 20s.
Dc Dave Edwards said “Although we believe this to be an isolated incident, this has been particularly distressing for the residents, who have been left shocked.”
Anyone with information should call Dc Edwards on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
