EARLY estimates suggest yesterday’s OX5 Run was the most successful yet.
The annual five-mile race around the grounds of Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, west Oxfordshire, is held to raise funds for Oxford Children’s Hospital.
Participants are still collecting sponsorship money, but event spokesman Sarah Vaccari said a total of about £50,000 could be on the cards.
She said: “It is just an estimate at the moment, but we hope to exceed £50,000.
“We think this has been the most successful year. Certainly in terms of the number of runners it was, as we think more than 750 actually took part and 850 registered.”
