BRITAIN’S Got Talent hopeful Fabia Cerra has denied claims she has quit the ITV show.

Miss Cerra, 35, from Greater Leys, Oxford, hit the headlines after performing a burlesque strip tease in front of 11.7m TV viewers a week ago.

Miss Cerra, who suffers from bi-polar depression, said the rumours started after she cancelled a radio interview today.

She said: “It’s not true — I’m still in the running.

“I just had a low point and decided not to go ahead with the interview. I was so exhausted. I’m a bit wobbly and vulnerable, but I’m still in the show. It’s just been a really tough week.”

The mother-of-one is a former drug addict and author of autobiography In 2 Minds, due to be published in June.

Her TV appearance sparked dozens of complaints to media regulator Ofcom, but she has the full support of her family.

Her sister Lorenza El-Kority, 33, from New Hinksey, said: “I’m so proud of her.

“She saw the advert for Britain’s Got Talent and felt it was her calling.

“She loves a challenge in life. She was born to be this way, born to be a dancer.

“They said on the radio 80 people had complained about the performance to Ofcom, but I keep telling her that’s 80 out of millions who watched.

“It's just a handful of people, who feel the need to be spiteful.”
