MEMBERS of Woodstock Youth Club turned out in force in 1961 to help clear rubble from a site in New Road. The area was to be used as a park for small children, with seats for mothers near the swings and roundabouts.

The next picture shows some of the 70 people who attended a wine-tasting evening in the town in 1964. They are Mr E Cox, Mr EJ Brooke and the Rev and Mrs V Ducker. There was a talk and film on French and German wines and vineyards.

A plaque was unveiled at Woodstock church in 1956 to mark the restoration of the chimes. The picture shows, from left, the Bishop of Oxford, Dr Harry Carpenter, former rector Canon H Pickles, rector the Rev CP Sherwood and the Duke of Marlborough.
