Cooper School in Bicester hosted its very own X-Factor- style competition to showcase a host of singing talent.
The inaugural Stars event has been hailed a success after more than 35 acts from across the school, in Churchill Road, took part.
Eighteen 18 acts were picked to appear in the grand final.
Each performed a song and dance routine.
A judging panel including Keith Thompson from Jack FM, deputy headteacher Tony Rushworth, head of creative arts Jean Ramsey, and students Matthew Sherwood and Jess Tuffrey, had the tough job of picking a winner.
But eventually they decided the overall winners were Poppy Cooper, Laura Nellis and Laura Hobden, all 11, who sang The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.
Chloe Coleman, 11, and Jenni Sowerby, 12, scooped the lower school award and Suzannah Shalom, 16, won the upper school award.
A further award, voted for by primary school children during a matinee, was presented to Mollie Fowler, 12.
Music teacher Sharon Beckett, who organised the event, said it was a sell-out and she hoped to run similar shows in future.
She added: “It reaches the many students that perhaps do not want to sing in traditional choirs or musicals, but none the less have a good voice and want to perform.”
