A MAN obsessed with celebrities has been banned from contacting a string of Hollywood stars after bombarding a former Big Brother winner with sexually explicit letters.
Mark Taylor, 46, of Old Marston, Oxford, was ordered not to contact Hollywood actresses Meg Ryan and Jennifer Aniston, television presenters Penny Smith and Fearne Cotton, and singers Kylie Minogue, her sister Dannii, and Lily Allen.
He was jailed for four months after admitting sending explicit letters to former Big Brother star Kate Lawler, 28.
Taylor was arrested by the Metropolitan Police at his home in Arlington Drive, Old Marston, in September and was charged with harassing Miss Lawler.
He sent her a series of letters between May and September last year.
But after being released on bail, he failed to turn up at Bromley Magistrates’ Court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He was caught three months later at his mother’s home, also in Oxford, admitted har-assing Miss Lawler and was remanded in custody.
Magistrates, gave him a four month jail sentence on March 27, also made an indefinite restraining order against him, banning him from contacting Miss Lawler and a list of other celebrities.
Taylor was also ordered not to enter the London borough of Bromley or the Birmingham City Council area, where Miss Lawler works as a disc jockey for Kerrang! radio.
But after sentencing, Taylor was released, because of the 66 days he had spent in jail on remand.
Miss Lawler, right, who once dated England footballer Jonathan Woodgate, won the third series of Big Brother in 2002.
She later co-hosted Channel 4 breakfast show RI:SE and took part in the television series Celebrity Wrestling and Love Island.
Metropolitan Police spokesman Julian Hurst said: “This is the second time that Taylor has been convicted of harassment against Miss Lawler.
“In 2006 he was sentenced following a three-year campaign of letters sent to her parents’ address in Beckenham.
“He was given a community order, requiring him to undertake 160 hours of unpaid work, and a two-year restraining order was issued against him.”
Mr Hurst said he did not know why Taylor was banned from contacting the other celebrities.
Miss Lawler was unavailable for comment last night.
