A TV PERFORMANCE by a curvaceous burlesque dancer from Oxford has prompted dozens of viewer complaints.

Last night, 39 people had complained to media regulator Ofcom about a dance by Fabia Cerra, 35, from Greater Leys, on Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday.

The size 20 mother-of-one stripped down to just a basque and nipple tassles and ITV was forced to digitally cover her breasts and part of her backside.

More than 10 million people watched the two-hour opening show of the series, the winner of which will go on to perform at the Royal Variety Show. It was on just after the 9pm watershed.

Judges Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell, voted Ms Cerra through unanimously.

Mr Cowell, the creator of the hit TV show, said: “Fabia, I adore you.”

Piers Morgan added: “Fabia, you are my kind of woman.”

Last night, Ms Cerra — a former disco dancing champion who has battled drug addiction and depression — was unavailable for comment, but an Ofcom spokesman confirmed it had had 39 complaints.

Bloggers on the Britain’s Got Talent website backed Ms Cerra despite the complaints.

One, called wilsonsuite, wrote: “Simon got it right by putting her through to next round. Queen would adore Fabia. I see from most comments people love her and I do hope she wins it. Vote Fabia.”
